Welcome to the Pompton Lakes Fire Department Web Site. This is your official resource for information about the Pompton Lakes Fire Department. We are a 100% volunteer organization with 65 members. Our response area includes about 3 square miles of residential housing, businesses and woodland. We are primarily funded by the borough along with your very generous donations.
We respond from our homes to Fire Headquarters where we man two engines, one 105' Aerial Ladder, a Heavy Rescue Vehicle and an quick response Attack Unit.
Our most common emergency responses include odors of smoke or gas, carbon monoxide alarms, active fires, and car accidents involving rescue extrications. Our dedicated volunteers also respond to any disaster whether natural or man made, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Please take a few moments to browse our new website to learn a few things about us. You might possibly consider becoming part of a long history of dedicated brothers and sisters who make up our family of firefighters that have been protecting and serving our community for over 100 years with Valor, Fidelity, and Duty.
Thank you for your continued support.
